Although not the constitution of a research chair, but is a welcome step in the right direction.
Prof. V Radhakrishnan, is an eminent personality in the area Research and development especially in the area of precision stream.He is being hired with the aim of teaching and research and development.
He did his PhD from IIT Madras, M Tech - IIT Kharagpur and BSc Engg from CET in the year 1961.
Post Doctral experience: Senior Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow, 1975
Industry Experience: 6 months (Cooper Engg. Satara and standard Motors, Madras)
He was the HOD, Dept Mechnical Engg., IIT M is a visiting professor NTU Singapore, Director of Research Amrita College.He was also the dean of Industrial consultancy and sponsored research IIT,
Member- Board of Governorts, IIT
Member of academiic and research boards of IIT,DST,CSIR,NRB and ISRO.
