" I search for you in every face I behold
I feel your presence on my mind’s threshold
The world as I see is an illusion of reality
With its elements epitomizing frailty.
What keeps me going is the forlom hope
That you will be back someday to put an end to my heart’s syncope
Of where you are, unaware though I am
As how you were, I believe you still remain the same.
My words never betrayed my feelings, I knew
Such thoughts, I may have seemed to eschew
Perhaps I looked upon it as frivolous
And with what life calls for, I had to keep pace
Come evening, I gaze at the sunset
To reassure myself that yet another day has gone past
In the battle called life which all long to win
But fail to see what they lose in the long run
Your memories put me in a trance
My penchant for you, they enhance
Life would be insipid without this zest
To be with you again in this birth or the next.
